Success Story
The centrepiece of this Crest Nicholson scheme is Ingress Abbey, an elegant Victorian building, built by James Harmer in 1833 to resemble a grand country mansion and constructed with masonry from the famous Old London Bridge.
The Abbey; expansive parkland designed by Capability Brown and the follies and grottoes, were established during centuries of private ownership, both religious and royal. After 1905, a paper mill and the Thames Nautical Training College also occupied the area.
Crest Nicholson began creating Ingress Park in 1998 and before residential development began, cut back years of unmanaged woodland growth and restored the Abbey building. Crest Nicholson also established the new landscape and carefully incorporated the parkland with restored follies and grottoes, an award winning Heritage Trail and re-opened riverfront.
The quality of design and planning at Ingress Park has been honoured, not only by a number of prestigious awards, but has also played host to many visitors including Tony Blair.
A real jewel in the ongoing regeneration of the Thames Gateway, Ingress Park, with its views down the River Thames, established neighbourhoods, landscaped spaces, as well as easy access to the M25, Bluewater Shopping Centre, Greenhithe domestic and International Ebbsfleet railway stations, provides a lifestyle enjoyed by few but envied by many.
Seamlessly linked with the existing infrastructure, which includes stops for the proposed Fast Track bus service to Ebbsfleet International Station, landscaping and riverside walk, the new neighbourhood has been designed to create a real mixed community way of life. Ebbsfleet International offers services of just 11 minutes to the Olympic Park in Stratford or 17 minutes to St Pancras, as well as fast routes to the continent.
Situated close to Greenhithe, take advantage of this stunning riverside location, ideal for walks and strolls. At the weekend, enjoy the surrounding countryside and scenery. For families, this location also benefits from being within the school catchment area for the top schools in Dartford, making it an aspirational place in which to live.
So whether you are a family needing more growing space with easy access to Kent’s countryside, a first-time buyer or professional looking for a home with fast commuter links, Ingress Park could be the place for you, as well as your last opportunity to own a house at this iconic development.
