Water is a precious natural resource and it is important that we save as much as possible.

Crest Nicholson homes come with water saving features such as dual flushing toilets and eco efficient showerheads as standard. Water consumption is also reduced through low flow aerated taps and many of our developments incorporate water butts.

Water Saving Tips

Wait for a full washing load before you use the washing machine or dishwasher. This uses less water than two half loads.
Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth; it can save up to six litres of water per minute.
Use a bucket of rainwater instead of a hosepipe when washing your car. By turning off the hosepipe you could save 600 litres of water an hour.

Facts and figures

According to UK Government figures water used for toilet flushing accounts for an estimated 31% of our daily personal water usage.

That can amount to 49 litres a day, 343 litres a week and 17,836 litres a year.
