Waste

Recycling one aluminium can will save enough energy to run a TV for two hours.

A Crest Nicholson home not only provides you with internal segregated recycle facilities but also gives you assurance that a strict waste management policy is in place throughout the construction process that ensures waste reduction, reuse and recycling.

Reducing waste Tips

  • Buy loose fruit and vegetables to save on packaging and avoid pre-packed foods where possible.
  • Use non-disposable 'bags for life' or durable shopping bags. Plastic bags create unnecessary waste which does not bio-degrade in the earth.
  • Store biodegradable waste in a compost heap which can be used as fertiliser for the garden.
  • Give old clothes and household goods to charity shops or collection services.
