New Show Home Offers Ideas To Townhouse Buyers

For prospective purchasers in Chelmsford looking for a new home to start the New Year with, award winning developer, Crest Nicholson has recently launched a brand new four bedroom, three storey townhouse show home at its Clarion Gate development in Great Baddow. Following the popularity of the first phase of development, the developer has unveiled the brand new show home to launch the second phase of homes, which includes a mix of two bedroom apartments and coach houses as well as two, three and four bedroom homes, and gives buyers the chance to view a finished property, filled with furniture, to really get a feel for the space on offer.

The four bedroom Terling house has been designed by award winning interior designers Suna Design and is set across three spacious floors with the ground floor housing a large kitchen and dining area, the first floor holds a shower room, a bedroom and living room, which opens up to a terraced balcony with steps down to the main garden. The top floor contains the family bathroom and a further three bedrooms including the master bedroom complete with built in wardrobes and en suite bathroom. The sophisticated interior design uses splashes of colour in the living areas and bedrooms to create character.

The master bedroom includes a striking mix of green and grey, with a patterned feature wall behind the bed to add depth to the room; the smaller top floor bedroom has been designed with a young girl in mind and includes a vibrant mix of red and white throughout and the third room also includes lime green, this time paired with a pink and a vivid candy striped effect. The bedroom on the first floor has an elegant deep maroon and crisp white colour scheme complementing the first floor living room with its warm brown and cream walls and emerald accessories. The dining area has been accentuated with a long dining table and a wall of vintage-looking and retro clocks, on a graphite metallic wallpaper to add a personal touch.

Rebecca Tucker, designer at Suna Interiors said of the home; “For this show home we aimed to create a modern, comfortable family scheme, making the most of the large kitchen/dining and the spacious living room. The approach we took to the whole interior was to move away from a more traditional, neutral colour palette and instead to use a palette of greys and taupes while injecting a strong accent colour into each room.

“The varied colour scheme works to give each room a distinct feel; the fresh and colourful third bedroom with crisp white furniture contrasts with the more atmospheric purples and taupes in bedroom two. Mirrored furniture in the master bedroom adds an understated glamour, combined with beautiful hand painted wallpaper. The first floor living room combines a living space with a fabulous study area and the dining room design bridges the link between a family kitchen and more formal dining space.”

Clarion Gate comprises an elegant collection of 153 traditional and contemporary styled two, three and four-bedroom houses and one and two-bedroom apartments. All homes come with two parking spaces and, inside, fully-fitted kitchens feature a comprehensive range of integrated Bosch appliances including an integrated fridge/freezer and stainless steel oven, hob and extractor hood, easing the burden of starting from scratch.

Nearby Chelmsford Station provides fast and efficient services to London Liverpool Street taking approximately 35 minutes. Alternatively, the A12 is just a short drive from the scheme and provides direct routes south to the Capital and Colchester to the north.
