Clarion Gate has been designed and constructed using the Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) known as Ecohomes.
Ecohomes is an authoritative rating for new and refurbished homes. It sets out a series of best practice criteria, against which the environmental aspects of building design and operation can be assessed. Schemes are rated on a basis of Pass through to Good, Very Good and Excellent. The homes at Clarion Gate have received an Ecohomes rating of Very Good.
Some of the features that have been included at Clarion Gate are:
- 'A' rated Bosch appliances that are not only energy and water efficient but also will be less expensive to run
- Dual flush Roca toilets and eco efficient Hansgrohe showerheads that will help reduce your water usage, as will the aerated taps
- Every kitchen is provided with an integrated recycling bin to make it easier for you to recycle
- An extra phone socket and electrical socket have been provided in a designated room within each home so that you can create your own home office and reduce the need to commute
- The houses are provided with a rotary washing line and the apartments with drying lines above the bath to provide you with an environmentally friendly alternative to the tumble dryer.
