Our Performance

Incidents and injuries

We reported 23 incidents to the HSE in 2008, compared with 21 in 2007, which resulted in a rise in our Annual Injury Incidence Rate (AIIR) to 923 from 734 in 2007.

Annual Injury Incidence Rate (AIIR)

The total number of incidents recorded fell significantly, by 46% from 223 (FY07) to 120 (FY08) while the average number employed declined by only 13%.

We attribute this improvement to our continued focus on robust safety management procedures and standards, improved monitoring, training and embedding a safety culture including proactive engagement with managers and directors.

We incurred zero prosecutions, fines, prohibition or improvement notices. Two complaints were made to the HSE. Both were fully investigated by Crest Nicholson, and no variances from safe practice found on the two sites. The HSE were content with the investigations and the findings.

Once again, no ill-health incidents occurred, and no Dangerous Occurrences were reported.
