Community consultation

We recognise that the creation of a community is more than just a physical transformation of an area. It is the creation of mixed communities with a range of tenures and uses to give people the opportunity to live, work and play in harmony.

Our experience shows that local solutions developed with input from local people are more sustainable, and can make a lasting difference. The approach underlining all our work is empowering local people, and at the heart of this approach is real engagement.

We view consultation as an integral part of the design and development process, and tailor each consultation to the specific development and its potential interactions with local infrastructure and people.

Engaging with the local community early in the planning stage is critical to ensuring the development responds to local needs and is embraced by the community, helping to secure its long-term future. We encourage an open dialogue and continue to undertake consultation both pre- and post- planning application.
