These divisions cover the Eastern, South and South West regions, as well as Crest Nicholson's specific regeneration arm; which has developments throughout the country. The Company has approximately 460 employees across its entire Group.
Crucially the recruitment programme is not just limited to Land Graduates. With the aim of providing a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of both the Crest business model and the wider industry, each Graduate undertakes a one to two year learning and development programme rotating across every discipline of the business, from Land Acquisition, Planning, Design and Development through to Production and Sales and Marketing. At the end of the rotation period a decision, made jointly between the Graduate and Crest Nicholson, will be taken as to which Department the Graduate will finally be placed in.

I have always been attracted to the property industry and as a result wanted to work for one of the leading property developers. Crest Nicholson has a reputation for quality and sustainability, and awards which recognise this. Once I had decided that I wanted to work in the property industry, Crest Nicholson seemed the obvious choice. The first rotation of the graduate programme has placed me in the Marketing department, which involves a wide variety of tasks; these include marketing suite design and implementation, website update management, and promotional materials and brochure design. In a very short period of time, this has allowed me to cover every aspect of the marketing mix.
I have only been with the organisation for 2 months; however since I joined I have been extremely pleased with the exposure and responsibility I have been given early on. Everyone within the business I have come into contact with has been extremely helpful and friendly, ensuring that both my integration and work life are enjoyable.

Having completed degrees in Land Management and Town Planning at Reading University, my future always lay within the Property Industry and seeking employment with a leading light within the sector. I was always interested in the regeneration of areas and the re-use of Brownfield land and with future housing targets in the UK always on the agenda I targeted the house-building industry as a sector that would be able to provide me with a multitude of experience.
The graduate programme lasts approximately 2 years and it will see me rotate around varying departments, enabling me to appreciate the full life-cycle of a large mixed-use development from start to finish.
In such an industry, no day is the same and I am constantly on the move to a number of our sites or having to complete a variety of tasks which removes any mundane element of such a role. Seeing the concept of our plans on paper followed by visiting the sites to see the developments in progress is extremely satisfying.
