Apprenticeship programme

Crest Nicholson has an established Apprenticeship programme to support the role of apprentices within the Construction sector.

Each of our four divisional offices takes on approximately 5 apprentices every year. Each successful applicant is offered a fixed term contract throughout their training program. During this period, Crest Nicholson’s aim is to provide practical experience on site, in support of coursework requirements for apprentices to gain an NVQ Level 2 and if possible Level 3 qualification. The company works closely with the apprentice’s college, which offers continuous support during the programme. Training is delivered through a selection of industry training groups including Construction Skills, the Sector Skills Council and Industry Training Board.

The Company ensures that each Apprentice is allocated a mentor throughout the length of their contract, ensuring a technical and pastoral senior employee is a direct line of contact for every Apprentice within the scheme.

Interviews for the scheme are held between May and July every year with applications reviewed at the beginning of the calendar year. The scheme runs in parallel to the college academic year and has an annual September start date.

If you think that you have what it takes to be an apprentice, then applications for the scheme should be sent to recruitment@crestnicholson.com or via ConstructionSkills.

I have always been interested in the building industry especially new build homes. I had completed a year at college when my tutor suggested I apply for an apprenticeship with a successful house builder like Crest Nicholson. My role in the company is as an apprentice Painter and Decorator for which I have been training for almost three years now. The best part of my apprenticeship is the satisfaction of seeing a finished plot progress through all the build stages.
