Rising energy costs mean that our highly energy-efficient homes can make a real difference to monthly bills – and reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the same time.

How we make it happen

98% of our new homes are fitted with 100% low energy-efficient lighting.

94% of our homes have a smart meter installed.

44% of our homes use renewable or low-carbon energy sources such as photo-voltaic (solar panels), biomass and district heating.

Our homes energy efficiency is better than the UK average for new builds - achieving an average SAP rating of 83.65 out of 100.

Greener choices

When we design our new homes, we make it easy for customers to make greener choices while living in a comfortable, efficient and economical home.

How we make it happen

100% of our homes have internal recycling bins.

18% of our homes have a facility for composting green waste, either within the home or communally.

Water wise

Our new homes can really help our customers save water through products like dual flush toilets, mixer taps with flow controls and rainwater collection butts.

How we make it happen

100% of our homes exceed the national average for water efficiency (150 litres per person per day), providing customers with a water efficiency level of 105 litres per person per day.

42% of our homes have access either to an individual water butt in their garden or a communal water butt, helping customers to reduce the amount of fresh water they use to water their plants.
