We're proud of our history - we've been building new homes for over 50 years. In 2013 we celebrated our 50th anniversary, a milestone in our history and testament to the commitment of our customers, the loyalty of our staff and the longstanding quality and exacting standards to which we build every one of our homes.

Crest Homes Limited was formed by Bryan Skinner and his partner Geoffrey Fox in Walton on Thames, Surrey.


Listed on the London Stock Exchange under the name of Crest Homes Limited and subsequently Crest Securities Limited.


Formation of Crest Nicholson through the merger of Crest Homes Ltd and Camper & Nicholsons, the boat builder.


Opening of the first regional office in Westerham, Kent.


Acquisition of the Pearce Group, leading to the formation of the South-West & Midlands regions.


The 'Nicholson Estates' brand was developed to trade in the quality inner London market.


Acquired Ingress Park, a 30 hectare derelict site in Greenhithe, now transformed into an award winning flagship residential regeneration project.


The importance of the principles of 'sustainability' were recognised by the Company.


Crest achieved recognition for its regeneration credentials, with awards for Regeneration Developer, Regeneration Partnership and Regeneration Housebuilder of the Year.


The Group expanded its expertise for mixed use developments by adding sites at Milton Keynes, Bath and Camberley to its portfolio.


Crest Nicholson, in partnership with BioRegional Qunitain, launched ‘One Brighton’, a highly sustainable and pioneering development which embraced the principles of 'One Planet Living'.


Crest becomes privately owned and is no longer listed on the London Stock Exchange.


Singled out for the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in sustainable development.


Crest Nicholson forms part of a leading R&D project called AIMC4, designed to pioneer the volume production of low carbon homes for the future.


In recognition of its commitment to design, the Company is awarded its 8th Building for Life Gold standard - achieving more than any other developer.


A new London division is launched to focus on increasing delivery in the centre of the Capital.


Crest Nicholson celebrates its 50th Anniversary.


Crest Nicholson returns to the London Stock Exchange.

A new Chiltern divison opens in St Albans, helping to deliver much needed new homes in the northern home counties.
